Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman considers that the Ukrainian authorities have to take effective steps to restore citizens' trust in them.
Groysman said this during the consideration of the Report on the course and results of implementation of the Action plan by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2015.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the political situation was reasoned by the crisis of trust in all Ukrainian authorities.
"We have to make conclusions, we have to learn the lesson, we have to take people's interests in account. It is impossible to ignore them for years. I believe we'll have enough wisdom to restore people's trust through our effective actions," he said.
Groysman said that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would soon restore real parliamentary control over the Government's actions and bodies of state power in Ukraine. "I want to guarantee that soon, we will restore real parliamentary control of the Government's actions and all other bodies of power," Groysman said.
Commenting on the Report of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that there were lots of positive things in the work of the Ukrainian Government, however, there also were lots of defects and mistakes.
